A Walk with God: No. 3 ~ "Daisy Day"
So, I think I'll remain true to form and Mondays will be my addition to the "Walk with God" series. Hey, Monday is DEFINITELY the day we can all use a pick-me-up from having to go back to work, so I figure it's definitely a good choice and I hope it blesses someone else out there as well :)
This week's post is a daisy from my "English garden" (my fancy word for lots of overgrown weeds with a few daisies sprinkled in for good measure). I LOVE the look of an aged garden. Not quite overgrown but let's say, "well grown". If I could turn myself into liquid form, I would happily pour myself into Better Homes and Gardens. And stay.
The only problem. No green thumb. And no clue. I haven't a clue where to start and how I would even plan an English garden at my home. I'm extrememly flora/fauna challenged.
I guess there is one other problem. The lawn guy ;) My hubby LOVES a well manicured lawn and grounds. The type where the shrubs are molded like balls and there isn't a leaf out of place. *twitch, twitch*
So, because my negligence caused my daisy patch to look rather, ummm overgrown, I finally agreed, while shedding tears of realization that I might never be capable of keeping one of those gorgeous gardens alive, to take the daisies out :(
This gives me one more reason to love photography. My heart can still sing and celebrate my beautiful daisies through photos and I can remember how much I loved them (and how wonderful I felt sitting and photographing them). I just don't love the weeding, the watering, the picking off the dead blooms to make room for new ones, bees, wasps, bugs, heat, humidity.... Yes, I'm a big baby.
And big babies apparently aren't cut out for gardens.
I made this image into a large 16x20 print for my bathroom. I put a very special verse on it and every time I see it, it reminds me of how gracious, loving and faithful our God is :)
Happy Monday! Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for Wednesday. Wednesday is "Wedding Day". OH! And dbl keep your eyes peeled for Friday. Friday is "Fantastic Love" day (engagement day) :D
