Late October 2000. A young family; daddy, mommy and three kids in tow moves in across the street. The mom is unsure of herself, life is overwhelming her but she doesn't say anything. She's left her home, her friends, her parents, her life, to follow her husband's dream and calling. She is isolated and alone. Her neighbor sweetly comes over to introduce herself to the newest group on the block. The neighbor invites them to come to a fall festival given by the church of which her husband is the pastor. Such begins a pattern of love, compassion and friendship.
The young mom (and family) go through excruciating times; the struggle to homeschool, the sudden loss of the mom's father, the beginning of her husband's new business (with no money/food coming in), etc. Inevitably the neighbors across the street seem to know exactly when and how to divinely bless the young family. Left overs, deer meat galore, fresh fish he catches, gifts bestowed on them that they simply can not keep because they've been given "WAY" too much, substituting themselves as grandparents to the young woman's children, especially a grandpa of which their loss was GREATLY felt.
This is the story of my life in Marble Falls. God brought us here, God has sustained us here and now it was my turn to give back. And even in this, I'm still being blessed!
I know we are not the only ones in this area to be touched by this incredible family but I also know in my heart of hearts that we are not just "another" person to minister to. This amazing family has loved us and embraced us and there is nothing more I LOVED than to bless them back and capture the crazy amazing love that is theirs.
Womacks, thank you for following your hearts, for giving and blessing and being the EXACT example that Christ calls us to be <3
