New Building ~ Advances

Well, it's time for another update!  I think that the more time goes, the faster it flies.  It's hard to believe that demo started on this project over 6 months ago.  Paying on this building but not having it generate any income yet has been a challenge.  Trusting God has that part of course.

As some of you may have recently seen, Marble Falls Economic Development Committee featured our building on their Facebook page this week.  That was pretty exciting!  If it wasn't for the fabulous grant they gave us to help improve the building, the parking lot would not get done and it NEEDS to be done, badly!  We can't thank them enough for blessing us with that grant!

I have a few more updates on the front of the building.  Unfortunately several things did not pass ADA compliance with the inspection and must be redone.  One lesson learned, a commercial building is DEFINITELY a different ball game than a residential property.  We tried to be super careful on all these things but beware, if you are 3/4" off on the inside depth of your sink.... you'll have to replace it.  Ugh.  It will all get fixed of course, just time and money, right? 😝

The rain has been desperately needed in our area but sadly it's been a hinderance to us.  Several things are on hold until the parking lot can be done and the weather is not complying.  Many of you have asked when we will finally be able to move in and open.... My answer, "YGIAGAM".  If you know what this means I hope you will join me in giggle. For those of you that would like to add a very large acronym to your vocabulary, "Your Guess Is As Good As Mine" would be your daily lesson.

The sign now has the Fiberon added to it and it looks fantastical!  I can't wait to see it lit up!  I've already had several of you comment that you are starting to notice the building and the sign where you hadn't before and that thrills me beyond belief!  We will still be getting silver numbers on the Fiberon part for the address (currently missing from photo below) and they still have to trench and do the electrical for the lights inside (waiting on existing asphalt to be torn up before they can do that part) but it's one step closer!

The window decals for both businesses have been applied to the doors and the address numbers and suite numbers were added above the doors (making this feel VERY real!).

The one other thing you might notice if you pop by will be a stone planter box to the left side of the building.  We have some fun stuff going in there and I can't wait to share it with you.

For now, enjoy your weekend and if you have a mind to, I'm ok if you ask Jesus to hold off on the rain and help us get that parking lot done!  We are soooooo close!!!
