New Building ~ GREAT news!!!!

It's hard to believe it's #fixerupperfriday again.  I think this has been the longest week to ever fly by, lol!  We've had so many things going on that my head started to spin a little, then catching a cold made it especially trying, but the news we got on Monday afternoon was the best pick-me-up ever!

As most of you know, our building was involved in a little mishap.  A drunk driver, trying to evade police, caught air after clipping a horse trailer and landed upside down, in the corner of our building, on Greg's side.  We discovered the impact shifted the ENTIRE structure by almost two inches and were concerned it may have damaged the slab.  If that was the case, we would have had to bulldoze the entire thing and start over from scratch.  We've been praying God's will be done in all this.  I mean, how do you pray in the situation we are in?  You pray the prayer that never fails, His will be done.  It would seem, His will is that we do NOT have to bulldoze it all, YAHOO!!!!!

We still have to figure out how all this will get covered financially so say a little prayer for us on that end.

They cleaned up most of the mess and shored the walls up to keep from incurring any more damage.  It looks pretty good at first glance, till you realize that windows wiggle, walls aren't plumb and can see how far the whole thing shifted.

a few mementos...

At first glance you'd never know anything happened, glad we have a contractor that knows what's up and checked things thoroughly.

Scripture still in place!

You can see the spray foam line and how far the wall shifted (middle wall dividing the two spaces).

Photo doesn't do justice but the window is separated from the frame and wiggles in and out.  This is the window caddy corner to the impact in the back on my side.

Standing firm!

Things I'm learning this week...

1.  He still cares.
2.  He hasn't forgotten us or forsaken us.
3.  He's got this.
4.  This is only temporary.
5.  Prayer works.

His eye is on the sparrow and I know He is watching over me.   ♥   Matthew 10:29-31
